A Review in Terms of Constitutional Law of the Standby Duty Statutes of the Medical Associations Ärztekammern and Kassenärztliche Vereinigungen« The thesis analyses the mandatory participation of physicians in medical standby duty in Germany in terms of constitutional law with a focus on the standby duty statutes of the medical associations »Ärztekammern« and »Kassenärztliche Vereinigungen«. While a mandatory participation itself is not a subject to constitutional-law doubts, its present legal implementation faces various issues. Therefore the thesis concludes with alternative legislative drafts aimed at solving the aforementioned problems.
